Become a Member Becoming a member is the most important thing you can do to support this campaign. Individuals, locally owned independent businesses, and nonprofit community organizations that meet our eligibility criteria can become members. Download the Membership Application and return the form with the appropriate membership fee. Membership benefits and fees are listed on the second page of the application.
When your membership application is approved, we will deliver a campaign kit with materials that you can use to help spread the word, including window decals for business members. We will also add your listing to our online directory. *** Join by April 1, 2010, to be included in our new full-color Find Your Independents printed directory, which will be published in June. Members also have an opportunity to advertise in the directory. Download ad rates.***
Although we support independent businesses throughout Maine, because of our limited resources and capacity, the Portland Buy Local Campaign is currently limited to businesses located in the city of Portland.
